See the big picture with Mindmeister

Hey guys, next website that I want to mention is an online mind mapping tool Mindmeister.

First of all, a mind map is a diagram used to visually organize information. It is hierarchical and shows relationships among pieces of the whole. And it can be really helpful for students to see the big frame of the topic and then get into the details. So, Mindmeister is a website which is designed for creating those mind maps with minimum effort. It is free and you can either use it online or install the application. Try it and you won't regret it, it is very easy to use!

Here what I created with the help of the website as an example:

Storybird- Artful Storytelling

Hello again! Today's application is a promoter tool for your students' creative tasks. Its called Storybird and it is a platform that learners can create their own stories, comics, poetry, or picture books. They have access to other user's published works as well, just to see an example or get inspiration from. The application/website also offers how-to guides for writing -basic or creative- to help the students.
I think it can be a very useful tool for homework but more importantly, it will work up the learner's creative thinking and reflection. Seeing their improvement in writing, they will feel more confident about expressing themselves.
If you try it, let me know, I hope you like it.
Take care!

Flipgrid

Hello everyone! Today's heading is a social learning site, Flipgrid!
Since we are no longer living in Grammar Translation Method times, in order to improve our speaking skills and therefore strengthen our learning, we feel the need to use the language we are learning. And as it's IT era it's not that hard to find opportunities to practice. Flipgrid is one of the tools to help you with that.
"Flipgrid is the leading video discussion platform for millions of PreK to PhD educators, students, and families in 180+ countries." as they say.
For students to verbalize their learning, they offer back-to-school intros, booktalks, reflections, expert Q&As, showcase steam ideas with specialized resources and attachments. Students are able to record short, authentic videos and reply to each other’s videos. As an educator, you can control video moderation, access, and much more.
There is also a library where teachers share their Flipgrids that you can inspire from for a wide range of ages and subjects.
Let's hear Flipgrid from its creators and users:
"This video showcases authentic classroom stories of amplifying student voice through Flipgrid."

I'm leaving a second video from their website and I really want you to watch it, it's beautiful. I got goosebumps watching it.
"Because your ideas might change the world!"
I'm also leaving their YouTube channel link here so that you can see other videos:

Here, there are some comments on Flipgrid:

Animatron: Create Your Own Animation

Hey everyone! For those who are searching for a way to make presentations more appealing for the early learners of English, I have a wonderful website which is called Animatron. As they explain in their website "Animatron is a video and animation software development company that enables businesses and individuals to create high-quality visual content with its online video making tools." It offers unique ways to personalize and customize an individual's visual stories. Therefore, it is a very creative programme which is both fun for the teacher and learner. As the other websites I mentioned before, Animatron is also free and very easy to use. There are lots of ready animated sets that you can choose. Videos, images, sounds, and URLs can be attached to the animation as well.
Here is a short animation that I created for a vocabulary practice about 'Appearance and Personality'.

Create activities with Seesaw

Hello again! I have a helpful website/application to make the student engagement fly up!   It's called Seesaw and it is for creating activities for students to make the process of learning more enjoyable. You can sign up free as a student, teacher or parent. There are lots of activities that you can use or gets inspired to create your own activity. Students will get excited since it's not a common way of studying and they will love it for sure. They can respond to activities with photos, videos, voices, and teachers can easily see the student's work and send feedback to all.
It is really a fun environment for students to engage in learning and it's so easy to use it. I highly recommend it. Here is the activity that I created to practice diphthongs:
Hope you try and like it. Take care!

A fun way to create your own boards: PADLET

Hello everyone, I hope you're having a wonderful day!
I just came by to suggest a website that I recently discovered and loved. It is called Padlet. You can sign up for free, use online or download the app. After choosing your template, you can add photos, voices, videos, links, and documents to make the text richer. When you're finished, your padlet is ready to share with whoever you want.
I have prepared a padlet about diphthongs and I'm leaving the link for those wondering.
Let me know if you knew the website and like it or not. Take care, bye!
